The Big Walk 2017
A date is set for the next ‘Big Walk’ – Tuesday 6th June 2017 from 12 Noon – 3pm approx. Please save the date in your diary and encourage other members of your team to do the same. Please register your interest in attending via the Network Facebook page (please see below) and help us make this year’s Big Walk even bigger and better!
You can download our Save the Date Card which you can print and pass on to your volunteers so they can get the date in their diaries and our Save the Date poster for you to print and display in your offices so your volunteers can add themselves if they are taking part.

A Working Group made up of Rotherham Volunteer Coordinator Network members and including volunteer reps is now established.
The next, and final, Working Group meeting will be on Thursday 25th May 2017 from 9:30am – 11:30am at Voluntary Action Rotherham.
If you manage volunteers and you, or a member of your volunteer team, would like to represent your organisation or group at these meetings, please contact Alison Thorp 01709 834462 for more details.
Members of the working group will be looking after a stall in All Saints Square during the morning before the walk from 9:30am – 12:30pm. The stall will be used for promoting volunteering and the opportunities available in Rotherham. If you are interested in helping manage the stall, or would like to drop off some literature for the stall, please contact Kathryn Wild at Age UK Rotherham (email: firstname.lastname@example.org) for further information.
We will also set up a stall in the Rotherham Minster from Thursday 1st June where you can display any literature. Please feel free to drop off your literature any time from the 1st.
