Are you considering becoming self-employed but not 100% sure if it is right for you? This workshop gives you the opportunity to take the first steps into exploring whether self-employment should and could work for you in reality.
  
By the end of the workshop you will be able to:
  • Look at your confidence and potential barriers to setting up in business
  • Understood some of the challenges and benefits of starting a business
  • Looked at your skill set – and decided what you want your business to give you
  • Looked at developing an idea and take it to the next stage
  • Gained an understanding of market research to ensure your business idea is viable
  • Gained an overview of what’s involved in starting and running a business
  • Know how to register as self-emplyed
This workshop is free of charge for people who currently live in Rotherham.

The workshop will be delivered by Spectrum Futures CIC - the trading arm of Voluntary Action Rotherham. Spectrum Futures deliveres business support services to new and established organisations and provides training to increase the skills and confidence of people in Rotherham. 
 
Course Trainer
The Trainer - Suzy Cornwell Ball - is an experienced business adviser, trainer, coach and mentor. Suzy has a proven track record in delivering effective workshops in topics ranging from Business Planning to Financial Planning and marketing.  She facilitates workshops using her strong background knowledge and experience to motivate others to reach their full potential.
