This workshop will develop your social media skills so that you can widen the channels you use for job searching. More and more employers communicate with their customers via social media so understanding the tools and techniques may help you impress perspective employers.
By the end of the session you will be able to:
  •  Identify different social media platforms
  •  Look at the benefits of social media
  •  Understand which types of social media would benefit you in your job search
  •  Identify good and bad examples of how it is used
  •  Understand why and how companies use social media to communicate with their customers
  •  Create your own Linkedin and/or Twitter account and know the basics of how to get started
  •  Identify ways to find jobs on Linkedin and Twitter
This workshop is free of charge for people who currently live in Rotherham.

Who should attend? 
If you are unemployed and new to social media but want to understand how to look for jobs using these methods, then this workshop will get you started!
 
The workshop will be delivered by Spectrum Futures CIC - the trading arm of Voluntary Action Rotherham. Spectrum Futures deliveres business support services to new and established organisations and provides training to increase the skills and confidence of people in Rotherham.

The Trainer - Suzy Cornwell Ball - is an experienced business adviser, trainer, coach and mentor.
