Voluntary Action Rotherham

Tenancy Support from Rush House

Rush House is currently running a pilot for tenancy support in the Rotherham area for clients aged 16 to 25.

Our aim is to ease the transition for young people who gain their own tenancies.  We support clients in all aspects such as income, housing benefit, council tax, filling in forms, utilities, TV licences, 2010 issues, health issues, leisure activities, managing money, managing your own tenancy and much more…

We will accept referrals for clients in local authority, private rented and housing association tenancies.  We are unable to work with those who already have tenancy support from other agencies.  Initially we will work with clients for 3 months dependent on the level of support they need.

Rush House has an experienced & professional staff team who can support young people to develop the skills they need to live independently and maintain living independently.

Our support will include:

  • regular home visits
  • support to contact and meet with external agencies for further support
  • clients will be able to use our drop in facilities to use landlines, access to computers or work with staff
  • fortnightly drop in sessions with guest speakers and cook and eat sessions
  • access to our PDTeam (offering Skills For Life Work and Education, Training and Employment work)

We’re happy to come and discuss our service with staff teams.  For further information contact Louisa or Norsheen. We are available on 01709 369295 OR You can contact us via email on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
