If you would like to meet the team and find out more about some of the services and opportunities on offer it would be great to welcome you. After an update and networking opportunity attendees will break out into smaller groups to explore one of three choices of workshops.

Volunteering England has welcomed the passing of the Public Services (Social Value) Bill through Parliament, which will require public authorities to consider economic, social and environmental impact when commissioning and procuring services.
This is a crucial development for the thousands of organisations across the country that involve volunteers. In particular, this could be a game-changer for small organisations that find it difficult to compete with large contractors despite their local knowledge.

Did you know that 63 per cent of students take part in some form of formal voluntary activity during university, with 95 per cent driven to do so out of a desire to improve things or to help people. Volunteering also enhances employability, with half of recent graduates under the age of 30 in paid work saying that volunteering has helped them secure a job!
