Membership

We are proud to support a mighty and thriving voluntary and community sector in Rotherham and currently have over 900 members based across the borough. We support them in three keys ways which mirror our overall purpose. These include but are not limited to:

 

Support

• Advice, support and services (for example Human Resources, Community Accountancy and Volunteers)

• Representation of members’ views to regional bodies

• Training courses run by the team here at VAR

• Discounts on Room Hire here at The Spectrum

Promotion

• Job advertising on our website

• Publicity opportunities - specifically events, news and training - via our website and weekly e-bulletin

• Profile on Rotherham Gismo, an online directory for voluntary and community groups across the borough

Development

• Information on starting up a group

• Funding searches

• Signposting to VAR services and external support

• Constitution and Policy templates

 

 

We also support our members by acting as a voice for the local voluntary and community sector and help people to volunteer across Rotherham.

 

Membership is free of charge. All you need to do to become a member is click the button below which reads “Click here to fill out our membership form” and complete the form which emerges.
