Working with the Voluntary and Community Sector to create and support Thriving Neighbourhoods is a priority for the Council. The Council’s aim is to put communities at the heart of everything they do and to make people healthier, happier, safer and proud by:
- Working with communities on the things that matter to them
- Listening and working together to make a difference
- Supporting people from different backgrounds to get on well together
It’s Thriving Neighbourhoods strategy sets out plans around joint working with local people, community organisations and partners to find solutions to issues and build on our heritage and assets.
Want to find out more? Join Martin Hughes, the council’s Head of Neighbourhoods, who will take through the aspirations set out in the strategy, describe how it is being delivered and challenging you to think about how you can get more involved.
