Rotherham’s Armed Forces Day

29th June 2019

Saturday, 29th June, 10.00 to 4.30pm at Rotherham Town Centre

Our event is one of hundreds to be held across the country to show our support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community from currently serving troops to Service families, veterans and cadets.

Rotherham’s Armed Forces Day celebrations will feature a packed programme of military demonstrations and family entertainment.

The event will get underway with a military parade starting from the Town Hall through the Town Centre followed by a service of worship in All Saint’s Square.

There will be a demonstration by our local cadet forces as well as displays of military vehicles and weapons.

Entertainment will be provided by a variety of singers and performers, and there will be First and Second World War re-enactors as well as walkabout acts.

For children, there will be face painters, balloon modellers and bouncy castles.

Our Armed Forces Day celebrations will conclude with a Sunset Ceremony, led by local military personnel.

There will also be a musical extravaganza with a spectacular concert held in Rotherham Minster – this year on the eve of Armed Forces Day, Friday, 28 June.
