Supporting your Group to gain Royal recognition
We will once again be hosting a FREE information session to explore some options and give you the confidence to apply for a nationally recognised award. During this session you will be introduced to a number of award programmes, including the Queens Award for Voluntary Service and the Duke of York Community Initiative, which may lead to royal recognition for the work that you do.
The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service is the highest award given to volunteer groups across the UK for outstanding work done in their local communities for the benefit of others. The Annual Award – the equivalent of an MBE – sets the national benchmark for excellence in volunteering.
The Duke of York Community Initiative is a Royal Award presented to community projects based in Yorkshire.
We will be joined by a representative of the HM Lord-Lieutenants office and the Duke of York Community Initiative team.
This information session is free to attend for voluntary and community sector groups based in or working in Rotherham.
Date: Tuesday 11th June 2019
Time: 10am – 12pm (9.45am for refreshments)
Venue: Voluntary Action Rotherham, The Spectrum, Coke Hill, Rotherham S60 2HX
