Job description

The Foundry Sheffield is a registered charity which has a lease over Victoria Hall Methodist Church in the heart of Sheffield (next to the Crucible Theatre).  We are now seeking to recruit a Building Manager to develop our iconic grade 2 listed building into an events space in the centre of Sheffield.

 

Working with the architect, Trustees and Property sub-group, your role will be to ensure the development runs smoothly and building improvements are managed effectively.  Your primary role will be to look after property management and maintenance and the implementation of the organisation’s 10 year plan.  You will be a key member of the Management Team, working with the Trustees and our excellent team of staff who already provide an excellent service to our customers.

 

As well as having experience of building management, you should also have proven experience of procurement, contract management and working with contractors to deliver building and related services to a high standard.  The ability to demonstrate excellent organisational, negotiating, problem solving and planning skills is essential, as is having positive people management skills and the ability to lead a team.

 

This post is funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.  The Foundry Sheffield successfully accessed a grant of £188k for our City Centre Events Space Project and is the lead partner with Westminster Central Hall and Priory Place Methodist Church in Doncaster.
