Job Description

As an Outreach Worker, you will play a vital role in developing our service support across the region. You will build relationships with organisations and promote collaborative working within the South Yorkshire area to connect military personnel, veterans, and their families with the resources and support they need. You will be the face of our organisation within the community, building relationships, raising awareness, and ensuring individuals access our services.

The position is an integral role within the MCVC Support service. From time to time the post holder will be required to undertake additional duties associated with the service and commensurate with the grading of the post.

Key Responsibilities
• Engage with the Community: Develop and maintain strong relationships with veterans, military personnel, and their families, as well as community organisations and stakeholders.
• Data collection: to compile a veteran’s directory.
• Develop Effective Links: At a strategic level, to promote collaborative working with other organisations across the region, to enhance the support offering to the military communities.
• Promote Awareness: Actively promote the charity's programs and services, to organisations and individuals, through community events, social media, and other outreach channels.
• Collaboration: At an operational level, to work closely with organisations, team members and external partners to coordinate care, service provision and referrals, ensuring a seamless service experience for beneficiaries.
• Advocacy: Advocate for the needs of the military community, helping to shape and inform the charity’s programs and initiatives.
• Reporting & Data Management: Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, casework, and service outcomes, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
