Are you the next NAVCA Chair?

12th July 2018

In December our Chair, Caroline Schwaller will have served her six year term at NAVCA, which means we are now looking for a new Chair to take over the post.

We are inviting NAVCA members, supporters, partners and friends to help us find our new Chair and to encourage thinking about suitable candidates for the post.

Caroline has led us through a transformative time and will leave a strong and cohesive board of trustees and an excellent staff team. We are now looking for a bold and confident strategic thinker, with a fresh and inclusive approach to leadership, to take the reigns as Chair of our dynamic national organisation.

This is a great time to join NAVCA’s board as we move into our next phase of development, with the formation of a three-year strategic plan, the recent launch of a revitalised and reshaped membership offer, and some ambitious plans to put local sector support and development firmly back at the heart of the movement for place based social action.

We are keen to hear from a wide range of people for this opportunity, bringing diversity of thought and experience. Please share amongst your networks and help us spread the word far and wide.

The election of the chair of NAVCA is in the hands of our membership, and candidates must be nominated by a member organisation. If you wish to be nominated and are not connected with any NAVCA member, please contact Jane Ide, Chief Executive, on jane.ide@navca.org.uk for advice. Nominations are open now, and close at 5pm, 3 August 2018.
