Bettys Trees for Life grants

27th November 2018

The Bettys Trees for Life fund has been developed as part of Bettys centenary year activities in 2019.

The fund aims to support groups working to improve local green spaces and wildlife habitats through tree planting projects, improved access to woodland and environmental management and education projects. The link between accessible green space and wellbeing is well documented and we are also interested in projects that aim to use environmental activity to promote good physical and mental health.

Community groups, small charities and schools based throughout Yorkshire can apply for £500 to £4,000 to fund an environmental project that improves their local area.

Priority areas

Whilst applications will be considered from groups across the whole of Yorkshire, priority will be given to projects in the areas surrounding Bettys Café Tea Rooms. These are located in York, Harrogate, Northallerton and Ilkley.”
