Expressions of Interest to be part of the next roll-out of the Children’s Capital of Culture traineeship programme close Sunday 12th November at midnight (12am).


Rotherham Council are welcoming lots of different types of organisations who are excited about working with young people to make Rotherham Children’s Capital of Culture to apply for this funding. Applicants can include:

  • Council Services / Teams

  • Other public service organisations

  • Voluntary and third sector organisations

  • Private businesses of all sizes – from sole traders, to SMEs, to large businesses

Applicants could be organisations that primarily work in culture and sport, and/or with children and young people: for example, sports centres, youth clubs, heritage sites, arts venues, creative learning and education projects, and a wide range of other cultural providers.


Applicants can also be organisations who may primarily work in other fields, but who have roles within their team that have a key creative and/or sport and movement focus (for example, graphic design; event planning; communications and marketing; tech work in venues and for shows; schools engagement and creative learning; and so on).


If you are interested in hosting a Children’s Capital of Culture trainee or trainees during 2024, you should complete the Expression of Interest form and return it and all requested accompanying documents to ccoc@rotherham.gov.uk by midnight (12am) on Sunday 12th November 2023.
