Creative art project at Riverside Library
The Library @ Riverside House in Rotherham is running a creative art project, called “Riverbanksy” for young people aged 12-24 during the month of November.
Working with professional artists, the young people will be setting their own words in concrete, mixing the sand and cement to create a lasting piece of art. The “graffiti wall” will be displayed in Riverside and in other libraries after November.
The sessions will be held 10.00am – 4.00pm on the following dates: 27th October, 29th October – 3rd November, 10th and 17th November. There is no charge to take part but you will need to bring your own lunch.
The project is free to join in but you need to book your place by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or with staff in the library because workshop places are limited.
The project is funded by the Arts Council and is being managed in partnership with Rotherham Open Arts Renaissance (ROAR).
