Employability programme for people leaving care
Pioneer Social Enterprise Ltd helps multiply disadvantaged, unemployed people on the autistic spectrum, who have learning difficulties, or those with debilitating illnesses who are supported to gain life and social skills, reduce isolation, increase their employability through voluntary work experience, training, qualifications, arts, cultural and social activities.
This includes services for excluded young people over 17 years old. Our new project funded by Rotherham Building Stronger Communities Fund in conjunction with Voluntary Action Rotherham is recruiting this week. Targeting Rotherham residents particularly those leaving care includes a personal development challenge of traveling to Doncaster for the 8 week course delivery. The project is live now and as part of this mission we can only recruit Rotherham people who are leaving care.
We offer inter-generational training in:
- Essential life and social skills
- Job search and interview skills
- Multicultural equality and diversity awareness
- Heath and fire safety
- Food hygiene
- Leadership skills.
We offer programmes of 8 weeks work experience gaining skills relevant to the hospitality industry and administration, leading to references.
In addition through our partners our trainees get formal certificates in Safeguarding Level 1, Disability Consciousness, Lloyds Bank Money Champions Award.
