Free space available in Rawmarsh for Social Prescribing activity

19th May 2021

Do you deliver Social Prescribing Activities?

If you are considering expanding your services, or need somewhere on a regular basis for Social Prescribing activities we may be able to help. Working with Rotherham CCG and NHS Property service we have acquired a large building space in Rawmarsh. The space will comfortably hold a large number of people – up to at least 30 seated around tables! The building has been completely remodeled so is very shiny and new… We can provide pictures next week if anyone would like to see what it looks like.

We are planning on having some comfortable seating as well as more formal table and chairs etc, there is a brand new kitchen facility to make drinks etc and disabled toilets.

There is also storage space so that you don’t have to bring everything you need each week. We are still working on the allotment side of it round the back of the building but when this is complete it will be fully accessible with 5 large raised beds.

The building has excellent free parking and is on one level so great for wheelchair access, it also has the added bonus of being on the main bus route.

We are asking that groups take a regular slot either half day or full day (or two half days)

Currently we have agreed Monday AM, all day Tuesday and Wednesday AM so we have free:

Monday PM

Wednesday PM

All day Thursday

All day Friday

This is completely free as is being supported by the CCG and NHS property services. We will allocate now on a first come first served basis so if you are interested please complete the expression of interest as soon as possible. We anticipate sign off in June for immediate use.

Please note this building is solely for use for organisations delivering social prescribing activities for adults (Monday – Friday 9am-5pm) and is not suitable for children’s activities at this time. It is also not available for organisational meetings.
