Harmful Gambling Awareness Training
Free training sessions have been organised to increase the awareness of harmful gambling and its impact on families and local communities as well as the individuals directly harmed by it.
The training is being delivered by Dr Stephanie Bramley, Gambling Support Service Trainer of Citizens Advice Calderdale.
A one-hour or two-hour version of the training is available. The one-hour session is a general awareness session suitable for all staff. The two-hour session is for staff whose work brings them into contact more regularly with people impacted by harmful gambling. The extra time and smaller delegate numbers for these sessions allows time for more in depth consideration of the complexities of reducing harmful gambling.
The training will take place on 22nd October 2019 at Rockingham Professional Development Centre, Roughwood Road, Rotherham, S61 4HY; as follows:
- 10.00 am until 12:00 noon: 2-hour session for up to 16 delegates
- 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm: 1-hour session for up to 60 delegates
- 2.30 pm – 4.30 pm: 2-hour session for up to 16 delegates
