Henry Smith Charity Housing First grants
Henry Smith Charity’s new grants programme Housing First is open to organisations with an annual income of £100,000 to £5million. Grants of £200,000 to £400,000 are available for charities and not-for-profit organisations delivering, or planning to deliver, Housing First services.
“Housing First offers stable, affordable housing alongside ongoing, intensive person-centred support to enable people to keep their housing and avoid returning to homelessness. Services help people with significant multiple and enduring needs – those for whom other services have failed and homelessness is a long-term enduring issue.
“We are accepting proposals from organisations currently delivering Housing First services to increase provision and enable services to become more sustainable and effective. We are also open to applications from organisations planning to deliver a Housing First service for the first time. Through these grants we want to help people experiencing multiple and complex needs to leave homelessness behind for good.”
The deadline for expressions of interest is 4 November 2019.
More funds from Henry Smith Charity
Henry Smith Charity has two main grants programmes;
- The Improving Lives programme can fund projects that work with people who have experienced homelessness. If your organisation is not eligible for the Housing First programme, it may be eligible for the Improving Lives programme.
- The Strengthening Communities programme offers grants towards running costs for small community-based organisations working in the most deprived areas of the UK.
