Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools & Colleges

28th August 2018

Rotherham Federation of Communities are hosting this WEA course, starting in October, at Springwell Gardens Community Centre.

The course seeks to develop the knowledge and understanding that those working in a school or college setting will need. The course will enable students to develop an understanding of working in a support role in a school and will promote parental engagement with children and young people’s learning. Students will work towards gaining the Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools and Colleges.

There will be 2 courses running simultaneously:

Course A – Starts Monday 1st October, 9.30am – 2.30pm

or

Course B – Starts Wednesday 3rd October, 9.30am – 2.30pm

You only need sign up to attend one of the days either the Monday or the Wednesday – you cannot attend a Monday one week and then a Wednesday the next you need to commit to one or the other.

To enrol on either of the courses you MUST ATTEND A MEET AND GREET on either:

  • Monday 17th September 2018, 9.30am – 11.30am
  • Wednesday 19th September 2018, 9.30am – 11.30am

A representative from the WEA and the course tutor will be at the meet and greets to answer any further questions including arrangements for those with children. You do not need to bring anything with you.
