2nd August 2018

As part of the response to the safeguarding scandals, NCVO has convened a working party under Dame Mary Marsh to develop a Code of Ethics for the sector “to support charities… in recognising and resolving ethical issues and conflicts.” The draft Code is now out for a 12-week consultation. The Code has four main principles:

  • Putting Beneficiaries First
  • Acting with Integrity
  • Being Open
  • Ensuring the right to be Safe

You can review it and submit comments here.

Dame Mary has published a blog about the consultation on the NCVO site.
