Robot Selfie is coming to Rotherham in February 2022
A wall-drawing robot will create a massive mural of Young People’s faces in the heart of All Saints Square in Rotherham. The Robot Selfie by UK-based production studio Kaleider, is a collaboration between audience, AI technology, artist and robot.
From January we will ask children and young people to be part of this extraordinary artwork and submit their selfies, which will be spray painted onto the 10 x 8 metre canvas by the robots between 22nd and 25th February.
The art installation is a part of the very first Rotherham Skate and Arts Festival, bringing an exciting programme of outdoor performance, floor murals, art workshops, music and street food.
The full programme and more exciting news will be announced very soon.
The festival is a part of a wider Children’s Capital of Culture launch event, celebrating the best of Rotherham’s art and heritage, inspired and created by Children and Young People in Rotherham.
