Skipton Building Society Charitable Foundation small grants
Grants up to £3,000 are available from Skipton Building Society Charitable Foundation. Registered charities can apply if they aim to benefit children, through education and/or welfare, youth schemes and projects, or the elderly and their care.
What can be funded?
Grants are available for “specific tangible items or activities”. Examples include:
- Sensory toys and equipment for children with special needs.
- Specially adapted equipment to be used by people with physical/mental/communication disabilities.
- Social activities for vulnerable and/or isolated people.
Funding is not available for running costs, salaries or admin equipment. Mainstream schools, sports clubs, scouts/guides groups, local/government funded bodies are not eligible to apply. The funder will also not fund restoration or upkeep of buildings, cost or maintenance of vehicles.
There are no set deadlines. The trustees usually meet quarterly in March, June, September and December.
