Student human rights trip to Lesotho

17th October 2018

A group of law, criminology and human rights students, graduates and staff from The Helena Kennedy Centre for International Justice based at Sheffield Hallam University are going to Lesotho in June 2019 on a humanitarian two week project with Africa’s Gift charity.

They will be taking Wonderbags into rural communities, a non-electric, portable slow cooker which reduces time spent cooking and the amount of wood used to feed their cooking fires, eliminating many hours spent inhaling toxic fumes.

They will also be distributing school shoes for children in local villages, as they are unable to attend local schools if they do not have shoes.
