National Academy For Social Prescribing - The Power of Music Fund

The fund will be accepting applications from the 22nd of November to 22nd December 2023. Small grants will be available to dementia choirs and music groups in the UK to cover basic costs – like room hire, instruments, refreshments, and travel – full details can be found here.

We will also be offering a £500,000 grant available to create a Centre of Excellence. Applications must bring together a range of organisations, whilst being led by an Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) or VCSEs organisation, with written support from their ICB. The Centre of Excellence is a partnership between health and care providers, voluntary organisations, music providers and dementia support organisations. It will test new approaches to embedding music as part of dementia care, gather evidence of cost savings for the NHS, and design new models of care which could be scaled up and spread across England.

We will be open to receiving Expressions of Interest for the Centre of Excellence from 22nd November to 29th December 2023. We are conscious all applicants will need to establish partners and develop their application together so are keen to spread the word now to give applicants as much time as possible.
