In November 2023 we held a VCSE Alliance Working Together session ‘Digital Collaboration and Data and Insights Strategy’. In this session Dr Kieran Baker, Chief Digital and Information Officer for NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board and colleagues from the Digital, Data and Technology Function shared the developing data and insights strategy, and facilitated a discussion on how we can use technology to collaborate better together and how can we work together to improve data collection and provide analytical insights from data that can inform decision making.

A strong theme that surfaced through the discussion is the potential to work together to strengthen workforce skills through training and support.

NHS South Yorkshire ICB is working towards sharing and maximising resources where possible and appropriate with VCSE partners. There is potential to open up the training and support that is currently available to ICB staff on using Microsoft 365 (if you have this in your organisation already) and on Data and Insights; enabling you to better use the tools and technology available to you.
