Volunteer Management Training - Motivating and Retaining Volunteers
Tuesday 17th October (9:30am - 3:30pm).
The course - what to expect:
A full day course exploring the topic of motivating and retaining volunteers. The day will involve a mixture of exercises and tutor led discussion. The course time is 10:00am - 4:00pm and includes refreshments and a basic lunch.
Is this course for you?
This course is pitched at both new and existing volunteer managers and can provide a useful introduction to the role, or be a refresher for more experienced managers. There is also plenty of opportunity for group discussion and neworking.
Kerry McGrath is a qualified trainer and has worked at Voluntary Action Rotherham for over 17 years. In that time, she has supported a variety of VCS organisations with volunteer management good practice, delivered training, workshops and helped them with problem solving. She has also worked with the private sector - matching up local businesses with charities that need support e.g. redecoration, gardening etc.

Our training courses are popular and we often have a waiting list, so we politely ask that if you can't attend on the day, that you let us know as soon as possible, so that we can cancel your place and offer it to someone else.

If you feel unwell on the day and have Covid 19 syptoms, we ask that you don't attend.
*The session will involve some group, desk based exercises, which might mean that you are sitting in close proximity to other learners on the day.
