2020 Spotlight Brief for Groups
Under normal circumstances, at this time of year, we would be advertising for nominations for the Community Achievement Awards, which are an opportunity to raise awareness of and celebrate everything voluntary and community sector related in Rotherham.
This year, due to circumstances beyond our control, we’re doing things a bit differently.
We’re still going to be celebrating the great work that volunteers, community groups and organisations do across Rotherham but this year, instead of the usual nominations, shortlists and awards, we’re creating a whole film just for you!
How do you get involved?
We’re asking groups and volunteers to send us in pictures and video clips of the activities they have done over the last year. This could be footage you already have, pictures of volunteers carrying out their roles or if your group or activity is currently taking place you could record this too.
We’re also asking groups to record a short message, saying who they are, what they do and the impact they make, for some ideas see our Frequently asked questions.
We want you to send us as much as you can, we want to show the world the diversity of the support and activities available and shout about the amazing voluntary and community sector we have here in Rotherham
What if I don’t have a way to record my message or our activities?
Not a problem, we are working with Rotherham College who may be able to do the filming for you.
If you need help with filming, or would just prefer someone else to do it, please contact Kerry McGrath on Kerry.firstname.lastname@example.org or 07716 919416
Where do I send my footage?
Please ensure you have permission/s from those involved to share any videos, filming / photographs. The final film will be public, for ‘all and anyone’ to see and share.
If you have any problems please contact Sarah on email@example.com.
The deadline for submissions is 23rd October 2020
We promise we will try our best to use as much of the footage as possible but we can’t guarantee it will be included in the final video.
