Rian Treanor is offering FREE workshops at ROAR in September!

You will also have the opportunity to demonstrate your new found skills on the stage in the Diversity Festival at the Rotherham Show on Saturday 7th September 2019.

When:
Monday 2nd September – UNDER 18’S
Wednesday 4th September – OLDER ADULTS
4.00pm – 6.00pm
Only 5 places available at each session- so you need to BOOK!

ROAR project space, Westgate Chambers ( 2nd floor), Westgate, Rotherham, S60 1AN

Activities:
To learn basics of DJ-ing and develop a collaborative performance at Rotherham Show.
Using free professional DJ software each participant will create their own personal mix using their favourite music.
Exploring techniques used in various genres such as Hip-Hop, Grime, Dub, Reggae, House, Techno & EDM.

Beat-matching – synchronising the tempos of two songs so they play in time together.
Mixing – using the volume controls and EQ to filter elements of the songs to create balance.
Cueing – cropping the start point of a track so you can play it from a position that has the most impact.
Effects – use delays, echo, reverbs to add dynamics.
