Do you support families on low incomes?

The Family Holiday Association is the only national charity dedicated to providing short-breaks and day trips for families coping with some of the toughest challenges life can bring. Breaks are free for families and where possible the charity can provide a small contribution towards travel costs.

We are looking to increase our network of professionals who support families so that we can help as many people across the country as possible.

Families we support

To qualify for a short break, families must have children under 18, be living on a low income and not had a holiday in the past 4 years. For days out and group trips the criteria are similar but there doesn’t need to be as long without a holiday.

How professionals can register

All families must be referred by someone working with them in a supporting role such as a teacher, social worker, health visitor or support worker. Our referrers come from a range of
organisations including:

  • Schools
  • Social services
  • Children’s centres
  • Charities
  • Refuges and domestic abuse support services
  • Housing associations
  • Community health teams
