The role will centre on the effective and efficient delivery of property, facilities, and health and safety maintenance for staff, tenants, and guests of Sheffield Futures and Star House.   

The core responsibility is the effective and efficient delivery of property, facilities, and health and safety maintenance and provision for staff, tenants, and guests of Sheffield Futures and Star House.  

Specifically, this will include:
Planned and periodic maintenance of properties and building services;
Appropriate participation in facilities renewal, such as light DIY tasks, painting and decorating, etc.;
Proactive response to tenancy and partner requests as these relate to Sheffield Futures buildings, facilities, and estates;
Setting up rooms and conference spaces, moving equipment and furniture, and the maintenance of a clean and tidy environment at Star House;
Periodic health and safety checks and provision to ensure safety, environmental responsibility, and legal compliance;
Assisting with appropriate administrative tasks as requested by the Facilities Officer;
Other additional ad hoc duties commensurate with that of a Facilities Assistant.

You will be enrolled on the Level 2 Facilities apprenticeship, where you’ll learn and apply your new skills whilst working for the charity in this role. You will undergo your prepared training during your working hours, in conjunction with specified release for the completion of your course, and we will provide you with the support you need.
