How we can help you or your organisation

We also champion the role of volunteers in many other ways, including annual celebration events and a variety of training opportunities. Please click on the option below to find out more about how we can support you!

Rotherham Volunteer Management Award
The Volunteer Management Award (formerly "kitemark") is a mark of good practice and excellence in relation to volunteer management processes. It’s not accredited, but it’s locally recognised and means that volunteers can have peace of mind when applying to organisations who hold the award.
How do I apply?
All you need to do is contact us for an application form and collate and submit the evidence to us.
How long does it last for?
It lasts for 6 years from the date of your issued certificate. After 3 years, we will invite you to submit a renewals form, advising us of any changes. After 6 years, you will need to re-submit all evidence for the award again.
Is it a lot of work?
No, it’s likely that you’ve got most of the evidence already, it might just be a case of collating it into the different sections on the form. For some of the criteria, you will need to submit a short narrative.
How do I submit it?
Most people choose to collate the evidence and email it over to us, but we can accept paper copies, brought together in a folder or ring binder.
How do I find out more?
For any more informaton about this award please contact Kerry McGrath our Volunteer and Group Support Manager via email kerry.mcgrath@varotherham.org.uk or telephone 07716 919416.
